Regional Team Finals

On the Weekend Of the 16^th-17^th June, The Northwest Sent a Team of 126 Gymnasts and 13 Coaches to the Regional TRI, DMT and TUM Team finals in the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham. As a region we had a fantastic weekend with some great performances coming from the gymnasts who had qualified from our regional qualifiers earlier in the year, as this was a regional team event all gymnasts had a chance to score points for their regions to see who would come out on top to take the trophy as the best region in the UK. Our TRI gymnasts gave a great showing and gained us first place with 183 points! This was 12 points above the second-place region so well done to them! Our DIS TRI gymnasts had a full team for the first year ever which is a fantastic achievement for the region and great to see the numbers increasing every event, they all did fantastic gaining us 5^th place only 6 points behind 3^rd. Our DMT gymnast did well but suffered from lack of numbers in some groups but gave all they could and managed 5^th place which was great for the number of gymnasts involved, and our TUM gymnasts did a great job at the weekend with some good runs getting 6^th place in the table. We would like to thank everyone involved in the weekend from the gymnasts to all the coaches who gave up their time to do various roles within the arena hopefully next year will be even better for us!
