Women's Artistic
One moment you're upside down, spinning around a bar metres off the ground. The next you're demonstrating perfect balance, somersaulting along a beam no wider than the length of an iphone...
Women's artistic is a beautiful type of gymnastics to be involved in, whether you're an experienced performer or taking your first steps in the sport. You get to discover four separate activities, each one requiring a routine full of elegant moves that show off your strength, skill and control. Whatever your age and ability level, it's easy to get started in women's artistic gymnastics.
As you're starting out, you'll learn core skills and the basics of the four activities (the vault, the uneven bars, the beam and the floor). You'll slowly build your strength and skill until you can perform some seriously breath-taking moves. If you want, you can even enter the competitions for your age group. Who knows, you might become the next Beth Tweddle - Britain's Olympic hero and one of the greatest women's artistic gymnasts ever.
